Employee Communication

Quality communication with your employees is the key to a successful AMP launch. We have found that when employees are well-informed on what to expect from the AMP process, they are more likely to participate.

To maximize employee participation and to boost interest, focus on the following 3 areas:

WIIFM (What’s In It For Me)

Tell your employees how it will help them and what they will get out of it. For example, AMP helps give employees a “voice” or a method to provide feedback to the organization.

Transparency

We recommend letting your employees know what to expect ahead of time. If you plan on reviewing their results with them, let them know. They’ll appreciate this.

Voluntary Participation

We’ve found enthusiasm grows when employees are given the option to participate.

Crafting the Communication

There are many potential ways to communicate your new AMP program to employees. Depending on the standards of your organization, one method is likely more suitable than another. Please see below for example messages for some of these methods. Remember, these examples are to be used as starting points. To be truly effective, the message should be tailored to your organization and the specific AMP initiative.

We want your AMP launch to be as successful as possible – and we have experience successfully launching AMP in many organizations. We would be glad to assist you in crafting your communication message. Just contact your Customer Service Representative to get started.

Sample Emails

Sending an email to employees is the most common method of communication for introducing AMP. In the document below, you will find several sample email messages. Please feel free to use these examples as a guideline in crafting your own personal message to employees.

The email samples can be downloaded here:  Email Samples

Sample Memo

Another option that clients have used is to post or send out a memo to employees. This sample memo was created by an AMP client to inform employees of the beginning of the AMP program. This memo can be used to craft a memo of your own, or to get some helpful ideas for talking points with your employees.

The sample memos can be downloaded here: Sample Memos

Sample Script

If your company holds regular “town hall” style meetings, you may decide to introduce AMP to your employees there. The sample script below is designed to help you with the introduction of AMP. The AMP bulletpoint presentation depicts the four major things AMP does for your employees and may be displayed behind you as you’re talking.

The sample script and bullet-points can be downloaded here:

Supporting Documentation

We have found that if employees understand what AMP is, and “What’s In It For Them”, they will be much more likely to participate. Below you will find example documents that help to introduce AMP to employees.

Employee Welcome Sheets

The Employee Welcome Sheet is designed to help answer some of the frequently asked questions your employees may ask. This sheet can be attached to the email that’s sent out, sent by itself to provide more information on AMP to employees, or printed as part of a memo to hand out to them.

There are 3 versions of the Employee Welcome Sheet:

1. Employee Welcome Sheet for Subscriptions with Coaching

This sheet contains a section on how the coaches will work with the employees.

Download here: Welcome sheet – with coaching

2. Employee Welcome Sheet for Subscriptions without Coaching

This sheet does not have any coaching information.

3. Employee Welcome Sheet for Pulse Checks

This sheet removes any coaching reference, as well as any reference to automatic re-assessment of AMP.
