What is AMP?

AMP is an assessment tool that helps an organization to understand and assist its workforce – so that both the employees and the organization are more successful. It’s a great way for an organization to become more aware of what is occurring in the workforce, and for employees to become more connected to an organization.

The basic objective of AMP is simple – to measure what is hindering the attachment of employees to the organization.  Attached employees are more motivated, and have better performance. However, “stress” can block an employee from being fully attached, creating lower performance and dissatisfied employees.

By measuring over 30 different dimensions that impact attachment and organizational health, AMP gives a complete picture of what is happening in your workforce. This insight can then be used to help employees become reconnected to the organization.

How does it work?

AMP consists of an assessment and a database to house the results. Employees take the assessment online, (it typically takes less than 15 minutes), and their results are instantly analyzed and uploaded into your database.

How AMP Helps

  • AMP provides the information needed to help create a healthier and more productive work environment
  • AMP allows leaders to be aware of various situations occurring within teams and individuals so that solutions can be provided.
  • AMP increases organizational success by providing insight into what is reducing employee attachment, making it possible to address those issues so the employee can get back to work.
  • AMP helps open up communication between the organization and employees, which gives employees a greater sense of influence over their work life and improves collaboration.

What AMP is not

  • A typical survey. The AMP assessment is not a “just a survey.” Unlike a survey, it doesn’t create descriptive results based on employee answers. Instead, it takes the answers to the questions and uses algorithms to create metrics that go into more detail than just a survey could provide.  It can tell you more about an individual than the individual likely knows about themselves. For instance, AMP can show the level of stress an individual is experiencing, and in what areas. When taken organizationally it shows where the softspots are, and what individuals are at the greatest risk for leaving the organization.
  • A cure. AMP is the starting point of creating change in an organization. But it should be remembered that without action, even the best data is worthless. To get the full value of AMP, the analyze the data, create plans, and take action.
  • A chore.  AMP isn’t something that should add to your workload. AMP comes with full support from your partners at Bartell & Bartell. If you have a question or concern – or want us to create a complete action plan based on your results – we are here to help. Think of AMP as a Software and a Service (SaaS).
